I have far more important projects I should work on, but with the stress going on in my life at the moment and all the shit hitting the fan this weekend (and possibly next weekend as well) I've sorta just given up the daily sketch thing and just resorted to drawing fictional men that make me happy.
Figured it was also time for a new desktop
W.I.P. Of a little get well present to myself, of Soap and Price smokin' cigars and topless. Yes, I want them topless. I need some sexy pictures too.

Computer problems
I strongly advise you guys NOT to download anything while you have the AV security Suite virus scam on your computer. It's just another rogue program full of trojans, but I ended up getting into some deep deep DEEP shizzits. I had the... something 2010 virus scam a while back (forgot the name of it rwar), so I didn't react to this one and just went around the net to search for a way to get rid of it.
Well I finally got rid of the damn program and the viruses with it, but for some odd reason I couldn't start my yahoo messenger program. Apparently I was missing a srpnin.dll file that seemed to be associated with the messenger program. So I tried to uninstall Yahoo, and redownload the program thinking I'll just reinstall it. Well, apparently yahoo couldn't download the files necessary for reinstalling, so I'm thinkin' "Well fuck...".
I'm currently restoring my system to an earlier date and if this does not solve my issues then it's to reformatting the old thing. Good thing I backed up all my files.
So that's my excuse for not drawing. Time for some Red Dead Redemption!

Life is nothing but learning
Here's the amazing thing about growing as an artist. How much you can learn from a single drawing when you take the time to listen to the critiques and come to a realization of what simple touch ups can do.
For example, when I drew the portrait of Jack Roth, I only had a vague idea of what I wanted (and yes that idea was pretty much John Martson from Red Dead Redemption), but I still wasn't sure what he'd look like. He was going to be scarred and unattractive, that much I knew. When I posted the picture a few days ago I thought to myself "I want to make him look older", "I want to make him look more haggard", and "I want him to really look villainous". My problem was that I wasn't sure how to do it or I was too afraid to add more lines because I didn't want to mess it up.
After listening to my friend's suggestions, I decided to man up and add more lines to his eyes and brow. I even added more gray to his shaggy hair. And in the end, I think I have never been happier with how a character turned out. I will always continue to try and "push" his design, as well as the rest of my creations. It only takes that boost of bravery to try something new.
